Evening Festival FAQ

Excitement is building as the Spider Day Homecoming Evening Festival on Friday, October 27, is quickly approaching. We can’t wait to celebrate Spider Day with you! Here’s what you need to know.

  • Can I attend if I did not register?

    Yes, you can attend if you did not pre-register. Those who registered before midnight on Tuesday, October 24, will be entered into raffles that will be drawn at the Evening Festival.

  • What is the rain plan for this event? 
    The Spider Day Homecoming Evening Festival will take place rain or shine. Being that this event is taking place in late October, we recommend that you dress for potentially chilly temps. Space heaters will be placed around the grounds, and blankets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Where should I park?
    Ample parking will be available on campus. The closest parking lot to Millhiser Green is C66, across from Robins Stadium. If overflow parking is needed, lot C70, also across from Robins Stadium, will be opened. Accessible Parking will be available in the C70 lot, and an RMC Events associate will be available to assist and direct traffic as needed. No overnight parking is allowed in C70, so your car will be towed if left in that lot past midnight. There will be no shuttles transporting attendees throughout campus.   • Will I need an ID to get in?

    An ID is not required for entry, but your valid government ID is required for consuming alcohol. You must be 21+ to consume alcohol.

  • What food & beverages will be available?

    Mosaic Catering and several food trucks, including Woodheads, River City Woodfire Pizza, and Jiji’s Frozen Custard, will be on site with free food for all attendees. Alcohol-free beverages will also be available at no charge. Alcohol will be available for purchase with a valid ID. Beer, wine, and seltzer will be sold for $5 each. 

  • How do I pay for my alcohol?
    There will be cashiers at the bar accepting cashless payments. Acceptable forms of payment include major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Venmo. Cash is not accepted. Beer, wine, and seltzer will be sold for $5 each.
  • Can I bring my own alcohol?

    No. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. 

  • Can I bring a lawn chair, blanket, or cooler?

    Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket and join the fun! No coolers will be allowed. 

  • Are dogs allowed at this event?

    Though we love our furry friends, we do ask that you do not bring your pets, as we expect a large crowd. Service animals are permitted.

  • What activities will be happening at the Evening Festival?

    There will be lantern-making and face painting until 8 p.m.; food trucks; bars; some of your Spider Favorites foods, including Red Pepper Gouda Soup, Absurd Snacks, Spider Cider, and Twin Tail beverages; shopping at a pop-up Spider Shop; a photobooth; lawn games; various musical acts, including Faculty Lounge, Room for Improvement, and Dogpark!

  • If my name was chosen in the raffle drawings, do I have to be present to win?

    Yes, you must be present to win. There will be three drawings throughout the night at the stage.

  • Will restrooms be available?

    Outdoor, ADA-friendly restrooms will be located past the food trucks walking toward College Road.
