Will the Post Office be open regular hours?
At this time, the Post Office will remain open regular hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend service will be suspended until further notice.

What is the latest I can bring mail to Mail Services?
University Mail Services Operational hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Mail is picked up by all carriers at 4:30 p.m.

Will departmental mail still be delivered?
Mail services will change to delivering mail/packages and pick up any outgoing mail from all departments on campus once per day.

What if my department is working remotely, what will happen to our mail?
If the mailroom in your building is open, we will deliver mail. If you want us to hold your mail, please email mailservices@richmond.edu. We will not be forwarding mail off-campus that are University of Richmond related.

What will happen to my mail/packages that were delivered during spring break?
Mail Services has suspended all of our return to sender policies. Students should contact Mail Services at (804) 289-8620 to have their mail/packages forwarded to an address of their choice.

I have medicine that I receive via mail, what should I do?
Students should contact the sender, pharmacy or doctor to have the medicine redirected to their address. If the package has already been received by Mail Services, the student should contact Mail Services at (804) 289-8620 to have their medicine forwarded to an address of their choice.

What if I need to ship my items internationally?
We are able to process International Packages via the United States Postal Service, but we highly advise against it due to delays in shipping services.

Should I continue using my campus address for shipments?
If ordering items online during break and the following weeks, please pay attention to your shipping address and refrain from sending items to campus if you will not be here. Students should update all shippers to include family members, banks, doctors, or anyone that is likely to send you something with your off-campus mailing address.

If I will be staying on campus, can I still use my campus mailing address.
Students who are able to stay on campus, can still use their campus address to receive mail/packages.

I’m not returning to campus, can someone pickup my mail/packages for me?
Students should contact Mail Services at mailservices@richmond.edu with the name of the individual who will be picking up their items.

Can I ship items home?
Yes. We are a Certified Postal Unit and can provide tracking information for all packages shipped from our facility.

I shipped something from your office, but it has not arrived. What should I do?
Contact the United States Postal Service 1-800-ASK-USPS® (1-800-275-8777) with the tracking number that was provided to you.

What if my package is delayed due to shipping?
The United States Postal Service anticipates significant delays to delivery of all mail/packages to the following countries/regions: China, Italy, Hong Kong. Students should continue to track their packages and contact Mail Services once it arrives to have it forwarded to them.
