journals, videos and other materials owned by the University
of Richmond. (You must use an online database or print index
to identify articles within journals).

Chemical Abstracts (CA)
is now available to the UR community through SciFinder
Scholar, a desktop research tool used to locate and process
information on a wide variety of chemical and chemistry-related
topics. Using Scholar, you may perform substructure
and patent searches, follow hyperlinks to other sources, access
many full-text sources, and also search Medline. Scholar
can only be accessed from UR computers that are loaded with the
desktop software program; all library and public lab computers
provide the necessary software.
You can locate Scholar under Start > Programs >
Library CDs.
The ISI Web of Knowledge
-- including Science Citation Index -- offers
the unique option of searching with cited references, linking
articles forward in time by authors' citations.
Medline and Biological Abstracts (BA) include some
coverage of the chemistry literature, especially biochemistry:
Medline (1966
- the present) is available through the Ovid databases.
Biological Abstracts (1980 - the present) is also available through the
Ovid databases.
