Cognition, Action and Emotion Lab

We study human memory and categorization with a special focus on how emotions affect spatial memory and learning.  Students in the lab learn to design and program cognitive psychology experiments, collect and analyze data, give research presentations, and write scientific papers.  They attend weekly lab meetings and present their projects at the UR Arts and Sciences Research Symposium as well as at national conferences.  If you would like information about joining the lab, contact Dr. Crawford.

July 2004:  Crawford Sensei and lab members John Drake, Meghan Murphy and Skye Ochsner on our month-long research trip to Kyoto University.  Students presented in a graduate seminar,  conducted three experiments, toured the A/I Robotics and Engineering labs at  the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and made many new friends.  Here we are with Kusumi Sensei and our host lab.
