Apply Now!
The deadline for First-year students to apply has passed. Transfer applicants may use the Common Application. First-year applicants for the Fall of 2008 are invited to read more about our admission process on this page and hopefully to plan a visit to campus at their convenience.
Please feel free to contact us with your questions. We look forward to working with you during your college search.
Either one of these applications may be used.
Candidates may submit either the Common Application or the Richmond Web Application. Both application formats are given equal weight and preference in the admission process.
The Richmond Web Application is an online process that includes the application supplement.
The Common Application can be submitted in paper or electronic form, along with the Richmond Common Application Supplement.
The University of Richmond seeks to attract and enroll students who have demonstrated a commitment to their intellectual and academic endeavors, a dedication to their community and possess a record of outstanding leadership.
Richmond is fortunate to practice a selective admission process. Application review includes the high school transcript (courses and grades), standardized test scores, activities, accomplishments, work experience, essay and letters of recommendation. Admission decisions are based on more than just numbers; there is no formula for determining admission. In addition to a students' academic credentials, information concerning character, promise and ability are factored into admission decisions.
Richmond makes admission decisions on a need-blind basis. This means that students are evaluated based on their personal merits, independent of the family's financial status.
For additional information on the Common Application and the Richmond Web Application, please see the Application FAQs.
The application deadline is January 15, 2008.
