Welcome and Information Center

9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Location: Jepson Alumni Center

Stop by to pick up registration materials, tickets, and welcome packet. Staff will be on hand to greet you and answer questions. Light refreshments will be available.

Spider Club Invitational Golf Tournament

Join us for some friendly competition and fun. The cost is $150 per person ($550 per foursome) and includes golf, cart, and post-round awards reception. Advance registration is required.

Admission Information Session

Prospective students and their families are invited to join an admission staff member for a discussion of the academic offerings of the University, tips on the admission process, and information about financial aid and scholarships.

Campus Tour

10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Location: Jepson Hall

Haven’t been to campus for a while? Coming with a prospective student? All are welcome to enjoy the University of Richmond’s scenic campus through a student-guided tour (approximately 1.5 hours).

CCE Brown Bag: Mass Incarceration: Building a National Dialogue from Local Histories

12:30 p.m. – 1:25 p.m., Location: International Center Commons

At this Brown Bag event, join speaker Liz Sevcenko, Director of the Humanities Action Lab, for a discussion on Richmond and Virginia's local histories of mass incarceration, and what such histories could bring to the national conversation and understanding of this issue. Pizza will be provided.

Queally Center Dedication

4 p.m., Location: Queally Center

Join fellow alumni, students, and other members of the University community to celebrate the official dedication of the Queally Center, the new home to Undergraduate Admission and the employer development team. The ceremony begins at 4 p.m. in the Queally Center's Breed Pavilion and will be followed by a reception and self-guided tours of the new facility.

Welcoming Shabbat

5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m., Location: Wilton Center

Sorority Life 30th Anniversary Celebration

10 a.m. - Noon, Location: Cottage Court

In celebration of 30 years since the establishment of sororities on campus, the Panhellenic Council and NPHC are hosting a reception to showcase sorority life on campus today. Dr. Betty Neal Crutcher, a sorority woman herself, will share a few remarks about the value of women's Greek organizations. Alumni are invited to tour the cottages beginning at 10 a.m. Light breakfast refreshments will be served and transportation to Robins Stadium will be available following the event.

Student Government Alumni Brunch

Join current and former student government leaders and the Deans for a buffet-style brunch before the Homecoming game. The cost is $9.75 for adults, $6.25 for children (ages 2–9), $8.75 for seniors (65 and over). Advance registration is requested.

Annual Alumni Cheerleader Meet & Greet

Calling all University of Richmond alumni cheerleaders! Join the 2016-17 University of Richmond Cheerleaders for their annual meet and greet gathering. Come share your stories, meet the current cheerleaders, and show your love for UR! Then join us on the sidelines just before half-time, to perform with current cheerleaders our UR Fight Song! The University of Richmond Alumni Association (URAA) invites alumni and guests to stop by for live music, face painting, cotton candy, and popcorn. There will also be $1.00 hot dogs and $1.00 sodas (while supplies last).

Spider Club's Young Alumni Party in the Red Zone

2:30 p.m., Location: North End Red Zone, Robins Stadium Field

Calling all alums from 2006-2016. Get so close to the game you can high five our Spider players when they score. The cost is $20 and includes your game ticket and catered snacks. Cash bar is available on site an hour before kickoff. If you have made a gift to the university, you are eligible for a free parking pass. Spiders vs. Villanova Football Game

3:30 p.m., Location: Robins Stadium

Cheer on the Spiders as they take on the Villanova Wildcats. This late afternoon start will give you plenty of time to socialize before and after the game, but don’t miss the hard-hitting action when head football coach Danny Rocco’s excited team charges onto the field.

New Grad Reunion

7 p.m., Location: President's House

The Class of 2016 is invited to celebrate your newfound alumni status by attending a reception at the President’s home after the football game! Be part of this Homecoming tradition while connecting with your fellow classmates. Appetizers and a beer/wine bar are included in the registration fee.

Family Arts Day Celebration

Join the University Museums and the Modlin Center for a FREE arts-centered family fun day with exploration of exhibitions, hands-on art activities, a Rodin-inspired dance duet performance at 1:30 p.m. by Assistant Dance Professors Alicia Diaz and Matthew Thornton (UR Department of Theatre and Dance) and museum story time at 2 p.m.

Performance: The Man Who Planted Trees

3 p.m., Alice Jepson Theatre, Modlin Center for the Arts

This multi-sensory theatrical adaptation of Jean Giono’s environmental classic tells the inspirational story of a shepherd who plants a forest, acorn by acorn, transforming a barren wasteland. As much a touching tale as it is a hilarious puppet show, The Man Who Planted Trees Shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make in the world. Performance by the Puppet State Theatre Company of Scotland.
Note: Paid tickets are required for this performance.
