School of Business
You're looking for a business program that prepares you for today's complex and global business world. The Robins School of Business at Richmond offers a wide range of programs that combine a solid foundation in the liberal arts with rigorous training in business practices.
As an upper-level student (a junior or senior) in the Robins School of Business, you will:
- Develop competencies in five key areas and document your progress in an online portfolio that summarizes your goals, plans and work. Our innovative Personal Development Program is a tool you can present to potential employers as a showcase of your accomplishments.
- Collaborate with your professors as they research diverse areas of business such as organizational communication, strategic use of information technology and entrepreneurship.
- Gain experience in the international marketplace through our study abroad and International Work Experiences programs.
- Receive hands-on experience with investments. Through the Student Managed Investment Fund you'll invest actual money from Richmond's endowment fund.
- Participate in a cohort program in which you take your core courses with the same group of students. You'll work with your group on projects and attend events that connect your work with the real world.
- Find success. Our Certified Public Accountant pass rate consistently ranks in the top 10 in the country, with 80 percent of accounting majors passing at least one part of the exam on the first try; students taking the Chartered Financial Analyst Series-1 exam have an 80+ percent pass rate. The national average is below 50 percent.
