Street Art Murals Project

This fall, visiting professor of art Heide Trepanier taught a course on mural painting, where students learned about how murals have been used as a communication tool for centuries, and then explored different painting techniques. In conjunction with the RVA Street Art Festival, the students then traveled to the old GRTC bus depot on Cary Street and contributed their own individual murals at the site, based on the theme of flow and transference. The mural exhibition was showcased for the public on November 1st, in conjunction with the UR Downtown gallery exhibit "Look Up, Murals Around Richmond."
