Public Events

Each year, the University of Richmond brings world-class events right here to our hometown—many of which are free and open to the public.

From lectures by internationally renowned speakers and authors to exciting theatre, music and dance productions to inspiring art exhibitions and athletic competitions, Richmond offers exceptional experiences for people of all ages.

We invite you to join us. Keep an eye on our events calendar to see what’s happening on campus.

The Modlin Center for the Arts presents the very best in music, theatre and dance from both up-and-coming artists and well-known stars.

The University Museums offer a variety of exhibits that range from the contemporary to the traditional.

Our campus speaker series—such as the Jepson Leadership Forum and Women Involved in Living and Learning (WILL) series—provide perspectives from local, national and global experts on a diverse gamut of topics.

Richmond’s Atlantic 10-leading athletics program competes in 19 varsity sports ranging from football to diving.

Our International Film Series examines the world through the eyes of filmmakers and actors from every corner of the globe.

The University’s Arts Around the Lake features the work of artists from the Richmond area. Proceeds go toward a scholarship fund that helps a local student attend the University.
